Ok so I know I don't post in my journal anymore but this is just too cute to pass up.

Lucy's playing with her Barbies. She has 3 of them sitting down and then one of them standing up singing. And all of a sudden I hear one of the sitting down Barbie's saying "You're going to Hollywood!!!!!!!!!!!!" Hahaha!! She's playing American Idol!!! I guess she's excited about the new season starting tomorrow ! :)

Well tomorrow we are FINALLY moving to North Carolina. We moved all of our stuff up there last weekend but had to come back to Florida this week so Darren could finish off work here. The apartment up there is AMAZING!!!!! It has the tall ceilings, the nice, thick crown molding, a bay window, windows on THREE sides of the apartment, handles on my cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms, window ledges, a window in the kitchen, the list is just endless!!! And it's the little things that are making me happy. It's making realize just how shitty our apartment was here. Plus the neighborhood we are living in is too adorable!!

My mom, grandma, and Suzanne helped me clean out my old apartment today. We did a good job but it wasn't amazing or anything. I had a hard time getting some stains out of the carpet and Lucy's wall looked awful! The woman walked it with me and said it was awesome!!! Maybe she was blind?! I don't know... but she said we didn't owe any $$$ so that makes me happy.

I don't know what else to say. I am just really excited about FINALLY being in North Carolina !

Well we've offically started packing. We kind of started going through Lucy's bedroom yesterday but we didn't really accomplish much of anything. But Lucy's bedroom and closet (which is a huge walkin closet...more like a tiny room if you ask me) is all packed up! We got rid of SO much stuff!!! A lot of her stuffed animals, clothes, and halloween costumes are going to goodwill. We reserved our moving truck yesterday. My parents were supposed to help us move. They have a Dodge Ram truck that can tow up to 8,500 pounds and a HUGE trailer for a race car that can carry 6,000 pounds but for whatever reason they don't think it'll make the long trip!??? I don't know. It's REALLY frustrating!!!!!!!! I'm pretty mad but I just need to move on and get over it. So instead we're taking the moving truck up to NC on the 23rd and Darren's mom is going to come along with us in her car. We'll unload ALL of our stuff that day. Then we'll leave the following day in Darren's mom's car to head back to Florida. We'll work that week here and Lucy will go to school here for that week. Plus, we have tickets to see Rent that Tuesday! Then on the 30th we'll drive both of our cars up to NC and that'll be it!!! We'll be moved!!!!! :) It's really exciting and I'm so ready to go !

We took Lucy ice skating yesterday for the first time. It was really cute!! She was pretty scared at first. Then she decided she wanted one of the walkers to help her skate. She was doing really well with that!!! With about 20 mins left to skate she decided to try skating all by herself!!! And she did it!!! She didn't hold onto the wall, the walker, or anyones hand!! We have to go one more time before we move because my mom got her a $100 gift card for her birthday. So we still have about $50 left to spend. Afterwards she kept saying "That was really fun!!!"

Anyway not much else is going on. I'm just sitting here watching the race. They are in California...bleh...pretty boring. Tomorrow my mom and dad are taking Lucy to the beach. Then we're heading to Darren's mom's house for a little bar-b-q and swimming. That's all for now !

Well I've been sick the past few days and it's been awful!! I've missed so many days of work it's stupid and it makes me angry! I'm on antibiotics that I feel like are making me sicker. But I have hope that tomorrow I will be better! I HAVE to be better!! I cannot miss one more day of work!!!

We've found an apartment in North Carolina!!!!!! They are beyond adorable and I am so excited!! I want to move tomorrow!!! It has windows on 3 sides of the apartment!! I don't know if anyone can understand how amazing this is!! In ALL of the apartments we have been in there's just been a window in each bedroom and a sliding glass door in the livingroom. BORING!!!! And it makes the apartments look dark and blah. But at these amazing apartments in North Carolina there are the windows in the bedrooms, a window in the kitchen, a door to the porch in the kitchen, and the best part.... a BAY WINDOW in the livingroom!!!!!!!!!!!! And the apartments are only 3 years old!! New appliances!!!! Oh my god... I am so over this shitty apartment we live in. It's also located in a quiet, cute area. Plus, Lucy is going to an amazing school!! It's brick and 2 stories!! So adorable!! It's just all so totally different from what everything is like down here. Lucy started Kindergarten yesterday. She seems to like it a lot!! I've already noticed that she's coming home MUCH happier !!! She keeps talking about how she's swinging all by herself on the playground. :) So cute!!! On our way home in the car she just talks on and on about her day and what she did and what she ate for lunch and so on. I love it!!!

Anyway...time to go. Lucy and I are going to make dinner. :)

Ok so I haven't posted anything in about a month. Sometimes I just get really lazy about typing. Or maybe my brain just doesn't feel like thinking.

Anyway... we went on vacation to Tennessee and North Carolina from July 7-16. We first headed up to Atlanta, Georgia and stayed the night at Darren's brothers house. The following day we all headed to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We had this amazing cabin on top of a mountain!! The car ride up the mountain was a little crazy but it was fun. We went hiking and what not while in Gatlinburg. We hiked up to Rainbow Falls which totally kicked my ass!!!! It was a 5 mile hike roundtrip and really strenuous!! It was so rocky that when I was coming down the mountain my ankle twisted at least three times! Ouch!! But I guess it was worth it. The rainbow was REALLY pretty and there were a lot of logs crossing the streams that you had to walk on!! It was fun. After Gatlinburg we headed to Boone, North Carolina. We went canoeing which sucked!!! We payed for 2 hours but it only took us 45 minutes to do. They said they would let us go again but I just wasn't up for it. Besides... Darren yells at me a lot when we're canoeing. :( We then headed to Charlotte, North Carolina to look at places to live. We found a buttload of apartments and saw some cute houses. We also looked at all of the schools that Lucy would possibly go to. And what would a trip to Charlotte be without going to some of the race shops!??! Lucy's favorite!! We went to Ganassi, Hendrick, and DEI. I'd post pictures but they were all taken on my regular camera and well... I just don't feel like scanning them.

In rather exciting news..... We're moving to Mooresville, North Carolina on October 1st!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We decided that it was silly to wait until Feb. We are misrable here and really... I don't know how much more of this damn heat I can take! I'm so sick of my jeans sticking to my legs everytime I walk out to my car ! I just can't wait to leave !

So that's all that's been going on with me. Not entirely too much I guess... but it's exciting ! :)

Today is 7 years since Darren and I met!! How insane is that?? It seems like we've been together forever but at the same time it also seems like it hasn't yet been 7 years.

The Pepsi 400 was fun!! It didn't rain ! Thank goodness! I don't think I could have dealt with the rain again this year. Casey Mears finished 7th despite racing towards the back the entire race. Jimmie Johnson crashed and Lucy cried ! :( It was sad. He was driving a Shamu car and I think she was mainly upset because she wanted to see the Shamu car win. But there was also a REALLY big butthead sitting in front of us. When he got there he turned around and was looking at everyones shirts to see which driver they liked. He told Lucy that Jimmie Johnson sucked!! It's like "What the hell!?! She's 5!!!!" so when Jimmie Johnson crashed the guy was cheering and all happy. So I don't know if that triggered her to start crying too. After the race when we were walking to the car we got lost!! Don't ask!! We feel stupid. But it's ok... we got a workout instead of sitting in the car waiting in traffic. Overall we had a lot of fun!!! Chances are that's the last time we'll ever be at Daytona. :( But you know what... there are far more better and funner tracks around the North Carolina area. :)

Vacation is only 2 days a way!!!! I can't wait to be in the mountains and go hiking and see some waterfalls! Yippie !

Just as it happened last year... Darren decides at the last minute that we MUST go to the race today!!!!!

Therefore, Darren, Lucy, and I will be attending the Pepsi 400 tonight. Am I excited??? HELL YEAH I AM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well these past few weekends I've been hanging out in my bedroom because Darren has been hogging the tv. He's been watching the World Cup of course. Tonight he'll hog the tv too because UFC is on. Bleh. I wish there was something I could go do...but really there isn't. It sucks here.

Vacation is two weeks a way!!!! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself!!! I can't wait to be up in those pretty mountains! And I can't wait to explore Charlotte some more and look at all the houses and apartments and what not. It'll be a lot of fun !

Ohhh Lucy and I went out on my parents boat on Wednesday. Sarah came along with us. It was fun!! We drove (floated) around really fast and then stopped off at a island so we could swim and just hang out. Afterwards we went out to lunch, back to my mom and dads, did some swimming in their pool, ate dinner, and that's it. Oh yeah... I also dropped my car off at the dealership so they could change the oil and what not and take a look at my ignition. My stupid ass key kept getting stuck!! It would take me 5 mins or so to shut off the damn car. They had to order a part so they kept my car for two nights. They lent me a car and it was a fucking Impala!!!! That thing is a beast!!! It is entirely WAY too big for me!! I'm a tiny person ! I felt like I should have been driving in two lanes!! I was very excited when I saw that my car was fixed on Friday. I missed it !

I am eating pretzels. They are yummy! Plus I'm dipping them in ranch. Even better !

Today was Lucy's Pre-K Graduation. Here are some cute pics. It was actually REALLY hard to get decent pictures. The parents decide to just stand even though they have a chair to sit their fat ass on!!! Who knows...maybe they got a good picture of my daughter?! Anyway...on to the cuteness!!!

Today was an interesting day.

Lucy had a field trip to the Brevard Zoo with her Pre-K class. I went along with them. It was fun!! A bit crazy but fun. There were 34 kids altogether and it was quite hard to try to keep them from running a way from the group. I'm glad it only lasted about 2 hours because it was more than enough for the kids. They were asking for lunch a half hour into it! Haha!!

After the field trip Lucy and I headed to her new Elementary school!!! They did a tour for all the Kindergarten kids. She got to see the classrooms, media center, playground, and what not. She was pretty quiet throughout the whole thing and basically just observing. I'm sure it's overwhelming. She's used to the tiny preschools that she's been to. And now she's going to this HUGH school!!! We talked about it afterward and she said she was really excited and asked if she was starting in a few days. I of course informed her that she wasn't starting for another 3 months!!! It'll be fun at final registration when we find out what teacher she'll have so we can look at her classroom!!!! Oh yeah...and of course she's excited about getting her school supplies. Too cute!!!

I'm am so exhausted! I can't believe that walking around for a few hours wore me out. I walk around all day at work!! It's probably because I was outside. The heat is retarded already ! I can't believe it's only May.

I guess that's all for now. I can't believe that Lucy is going to real school soon!! Aaaahhhh!!!

We have four butterflies!!!!! And they are so pretty!!! We are a bit concerned about one of the butterflies though. It's almost as if his wings didn't fully develop and he can't fly :( It's sad. I'm going to load pics soon and post them just because it's so neat!!! I'm such a dork.

We went to this stupid Easter Egg Hunt today!! It started at 11 and I swear we got there right at 11 and all of the stupid eggs were gone!!!! There were bratty kids running around with about 30 eggs! It was just so unorganized and retarded. I felt so bad for Lucy!! But we were able to get her 3 eggs because there was this area for people that got there "late". Whatever! They started the stupid thing early and they didn't put a limit on how many eggs each kid can take. Before we got there we were lecturing Lucy about not taking too many eggs and to share with the other children. It makes me sick that other parents let their kids be so greedy! We told her that we'd have our own Easter egg hunt on Easter when we go to my mom and dads. Plus all of her cousins will be there so it'll be funner AND we'll hide the eggs. They didn't hide the eggs so the kids just grabbed them which was also dumb. I know...I'm being silly.

We went to the Zoo today for a little bit. We wanted to see the Spider Monkeys. I REALLY want one! We also wanted to see the Giraffes but they weren't out! :( I swear...Layla's ears are bigger than theirs!!!! My dog could be a giraffe!!!

Darren and Lucy went swimming today. They are nuts ! It was freezing!! I guess it's not THAT nuts. Darren used to slap on a sweat shirt and sweat pants and go swimming in my moms pool in December. Now that is nuts!!!!

I have inventory tonight at work! Yippie ! I tried to force myself to stay a wake last night but that did not happen. I fell asleep on the couch at 11:30. I'm such a loser ! I was too stinking tired !!!! I couldn't help it !

Lucy's class is walking over to McDonald's today to buy milkshakes. I volunteered to go so it should be fun ! After that I think I'm going to head to Target to buy Lucy her Easter stuff. I have to go now because I always wait until the last minute and I end up getting her the stupidest crap because everythings been picked over. So I will get her some cool stuff this year!!

Lucy got a butterfly garden for Christmas. We got her caterpillars in the mail about about two weeks ago. It's so interesting!!! They started out REALLY tiny! Like if I were to see these caterpillars crawling around outside I'd squish them because I'd think they were scary bugs. But they got huge!!!! Then they hung upside down and turned into chrysalids or however the crap you spell it. I'm sure Darren will comment and correct me on this. I can't wait for them to be butterflies! It's just a really interesting process.

Darren's mom, Lucy, and I got into a car accident on Saturday. It sucked. Darren's mom was driving. We were driving in the stupid traffic circle in the outside lane. The woman who was driving in the inside lane wanted to leave the traffic circle and decided to come into our lane and hit us. Poor Lucy was so scared!! I'd never seen her face turn so white before. :( But we are all fine and I just wish they'd get rid of that damn traffic circle already and put in a REAL intersection!! What a brilliant idea !

Ok I have to leave soon to go to Lucy's school. :)

Darren was sitting out on the porch today and suddenly realized that there were about 3 or so bees flying near him. We walked out to the front of the building to see if there was possibly a bee hive. We noticed a few bees going into a hole in the wall right above our porch. We called the management office and of course no one is there on the weekends so we left a message. A few minutes later Darren and I are sitting in the living room reading and we hear scratching in the ceiling!! We go into Lucy's room and hear the scratching in there too. It's the fucking bees!!!!!! So we called again and left another message. We went outside and there were about 10-15 bees swarming around out there. We decided to walk up to the sales office to see if they could possibly help us. They said there was nothing they could do. They were actually the biggest group of idiots I had ever seen. It's like "Ok...you are trying to sell these apartments and you don't care that there are bees living in the ceiling?!" We found a maintenance guy and he said that they actually have to have people come out to look at it but they will do it first thing in the morning. It appears that they are carpenter bees and they are eating the wood. Lovely. And now just 10 minutes ago there was a damn bee flying around in our KITCHEN!!!!!!!!!! He probably got in when we had our porch door open earlier but still!!!! Everyone knows that I hate bees!!! This is my worst nightmare!! I'm like picturing them eating their way through the ceiling and like attacking everything in sight!! Ugh!!

We are going to see Rob Zombie tonight. It should be interesting. I honestly don't remember the last the I listened to Rob Zombie. It'll be fun I guess.

Anyway... I'm pist because the Atlanta race is delayed because of rain. Damnit! I wanted to watch some racing before I left. Now we'll probably miss it...if they race at all.

I have a headache.

Lucy just drew a picture for me and wrote "I Love You" on it. She handed it to me and said "I made this for you so you feel better!"
